چکیده
Abstract Fire is considered one of the main risks leading to building collapse. Lightweight concrete comprises a variety components, each which has distinct behavior under effect temperature change. A total 16 mixtures were investigated in this article. reference mix comprising simply ordinary Portland cement and ten mixes having varying percentages fine coarse lightweight aggregates (pumice), replaced gravel sand by pumice 20, 40, 60, 80, 100%, respectively. In addition, study focused on effects adding fibers aggregate mixtures. Polypropylene fibers, carbon steel employed as fiber additions. The binary mixture had higher density than remaining containing substitute. six addition after exposure temperatures 100, 250, 350 450°C for 2 h then cooled two ways (water air) well examined directly results showed that better compared other mixtures, especially at high temperature. If left cool air, volcanic can recover its compression strength being exposed temperatures.

Investigation of mechanical and durability properties of lightweight concrete containing Pumice
In this research, the effect of the cement, sand, and pumice mixture on the durability of lightweight concrete is investigated. The intention of this paper is to replace a certain amount of the pumice percentage as an alternative option of the cement and pumice sand aggregate with conventional sand components. The experimental results include compressive strength, ion-chloride emission factor (...
متن کاملMechanical Properties of Manufactured-Sand Concrete after High Temperatures
In this paper, to study mechanical properties of manufactured-sand concrete after high temperatures, experiments on the residual strength of manufactured-sand concrete were carried out under high temperatures in which raw materials performances and concrete mixture proportion were considered. The mechanism of elevated temperatures on residual strength was theoretically discussed, and the calcul...
متن کاملResidual Mechanical Properties of Concrete Made with Crushed Clay Bricks and Roof Tiles Aggregate after Exposure to High Temperatures
This paper presents the residual mechanical properties of concrete made with crushed bricks and clay roof tile aggregates after exposure to high temperatures. One referent mixture and eight mixtures with different percentages of replacement of natural aggregate by crushed bricks and roof tiles are experimentally tested. The properties of the concrete were measured before and after exposure to 2...
متن کاملInvestigating the Effects of Nanoclay and Nylon Fibers on the Mechanical Properties of Asphalt Concrete
This paper describes the effects of reinforcement by randomly distributed nylon fibers and addition of nanoclay on some engineering properties of a typical asphalt concrete. The properties of asphalt concrete reinforced by different percentages of 25 mm nylon fibers have been compared with those of the mixtures containing different percentages of nanoclay and those in which both the fibers and ...
